Personal Work

Some decisions can't be made with a list.

A marriage. A faith. A career. You know the question by heart because you've been carrying it for years. You could make a case for either side. Some nights, you do.

Here's the good news hiding inside that: you're not indecisive. If facts were going to settle this, they would have by now, because you have all the facts. The deadlock isn't made of facts. Which means there's a way to move that doesn't require one more list, and I've helped a lot of people find it.

You might recognize this

I can argue both sides in my sleep. I've had years of practice.

Today the answer feels obvious. It felt obvious yesterday too, the other way.

Maybe something will happen that makes the decision for me.

I've gotten very good at not finishing the thought.

Why the question stays open

Staying undecided is protecting you from something. As long as the question stays open, nothing has to be grieved and nothing is final. The middle is painful, but it's the one place you don't have to give anything up.

That's not weakness. It's very human. It's also not where you have to live.

What's been missing from the process isn't a fact. It's the part of you that rarely gets a vote when a decision matters this much. The mind stays busy running the arguments because thinking feels like progress and feeling feels risky.

What the work is

Nobody can make this decision for you, and you wouldn't trust it if they did. What I can do is help you hear the parts of you the internal arguing has talked over.

We let both sides be heard all the way through. Not just the case for staying and the case for going, but what it would feel like to live inside each one. Sometimes the thing you've been afraid to imagine gets less frightening once you follow it all the way to the end.

The goal isn't an answer someone hands you. It's your own judgment back, so the choice is truly yours.

What changes

The question stops running your life. The middle-of-the-night arguing gets quieter, because the conversation finally includes the part of you it was always missing.

People who stay, stay differently. People who go, go cleaner.

The difference isn't the outcome. It's that you finally trust the one who chose it.
