Personal Work
Questions, answered.
The practical things people usually want to know before they reach out. If yours isn't here, just ask. I'm easy to reach.
Are you a therapist?
I work as a counselor and coach rather than a licensed therapist. That's an intentional choice: it lets me work with clients across state lines and blend depth with practical, real-world application. And I'm careful with the line. If what you're carrying needs clinical care, I'll say so, and I'll help you find it.
What does it cost?
Sessions are $125 to $190. I'm private pay, and I don't bill insurance. The first conversation, a fifteen-minute consultation, is free.
How do sessions work?
Sessions run fifty minutes to an hour, over Zoom for most clients, or in person in the Cache Valley, Utah area.
What happens in the free consultation?
Fifteen minutes, by phone or Zoom. You tell me what's going on. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, and if I'm not the right fit, I'll point you toward what is. Then you decide. No pressure from me, ever.
How long does this usually take?
It depends on what we're working on. Some people come for a handful of sessions around one decision. Some stay for a season of deeper work. We'll talk about it openly as we go, and you're never signed up for more than you want.
Do I need to know anything about the Enneagram?
No. Some clients never touch it at all. When it's useful, I'll bring it in and make it easy.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share in our work stays between us, and we'll go over exactly how that works in your intake paperwork.
What if I don't know where to start?
"I don't know where to start" is a perfectly good first sentence. Sorting it out together is the actual first step.
