Personal Work

People who are genuinely the problem almost never lie awake wondering if they are.

That's the first steady thing to know, so it goes first.

If you're here, you probably know the loop. You walk into a conversation sure of what happened and walk out apologizing for it. Not because the facts changed. Because your read on them did. Whether you were being reasonable. Whether it mattered. Whether you were allowed to be upset. And when that happens often enough, you start doubting your own read before anyone else even weighs in.

You might recognize this

I walk out of conversations less sure of myself than when I walked in.

I apologized to smooth things over. I still don't know what for.

I keep little proofs now. Exact words, dates. Just so I know I'm not imagining it.

I'm quieter than I used to be. I can feel it.

How this happens

Nothing is broken in you. If your experience gets flipped often enough, you start questioning it too. That's not a flaw in your judgment. It's what a reasonable person does when their read keeps getting treated as wrong.

This kind of self-doubt isn't a personality. It was learned through repetition, and what was learned can be unlearned. I've helped people unlearn it, and watching someone get their own mind back is one of the best parts of this work.

What the work is

It starts with one place where your experience doesn't have to defend itself. Not because we decide ahead of time that you're right, but because you can't rebuild self-trust while you're cross-examining yourself.

So we slow real moments down: what happened, what you felt, what you made of it. The work isn't deciding you're always right. It's learning to hear your own experience without immediately putting it on trial.

What changes

You're allowed to know what you know.

You can consider another read without handing yours over. You can be wrong without making yourself the problem. You can say "that didn't feel okay to me" without needing a court case to prove it.

The proof-keeping falls away, because you're no longer working to convince yourself of your own reality. The opinions come back. The instincts come back. Then the easy sense of being yourself you'd half forgotten.

You don't have to be sure of anything. Bring what happened, as you experienced it. Here, it counts.
